    i have a classical guitar so i skip going one step down on the 1st string otherwise i can’t reach de 6th when i’m going up.. thanks for the exercise..:)

    @40MattB I agree with most but I place my thumb where it feels most comfortable for me, when doing scales yes you can have your thumb directly behind your fingers tho in reality your not going to be playing the scales as a scale, my thumb is quiet often on top of the fret board given me leverage for string bends ect, when playing Barre Chords it tends to find it’s own place, regardless to it being the correct position or incorrect it works for me
